Ariadne's Thread

Wonder:

i wonder what a woman feels,

when a man enters her

goes inside, fills her with love

i wonder how she looks at herself in the mirror

once he is gone

pulled out

retracted

the relationship ends like seasons change

one blows out and the other storms in

i wonder what a man feels, when he enters a woman

does he feel love divine

like nothing else on earth

perhaps all of this is fleeting

easily removed like leaves from a tree

fluttering in the wind

it only lasts for a second or two

as the passion rushes from him

like a school of fish, swimming against the stream

his whole life he has waited for this moment

entering where he never thought he would

believing truth was there

between her legs, between her thighs

dripping with sweet honey

only under his grip is this treasure revealed

but the weight gets too heavy, soon he leaves, falling off like clothes before a shower; it helps if you are naked before the cold water hits

i wonder what a woman feels when she learns her man has entered another

piercing sounds ring out

echoing in the night

shards of glass pierce her skin and the amber glow seems to die

i wonder how she looks at hims when she holds him close, closer to her after everything has been said and done
