Ariadne's Thread

Endless

the darkness in my eyes, i close

remove the light from the day

as the horizon slowly approaches

upon the day, with its night

carry me, towards the future i see

remember time is sheltered, by hands so blinded

there is little left to feel, as time is a movement

for removing what was once there

i break the silence, in stream, as the day does puncture night

introduce such color, such beauty in the skies

remember what truth was there, if only i was to stare

deeply into your eyes, when dawn does arrive

from morning's wake, above the heavens, above the stars

the candle light flickers, as our breathe now does fade

as colors of night, are now replaced by the day
