Ariadne's Thread

Our Duty

Let all these, be in your head, beside the heavens

in doorways, past rivers, in death

while in waiting, amid shadows, cast,

they wait, to steal your breath

it seems, there is little, nothing more

only trying to fight, shall I

try, continue, so move on, I must

In shallow waters, in shallow graves

dig deep my child, dig deep

let nothing, pass, over waters too deep

flow beneath earth, will you

or beside the riches

found, buried with you, in your bed

And while you call, I hear you

speaking, still stirring, keep growing

strong, for the knowledge, I gather is truth

let all others wander, haunt me

no more, as I shall move past, these gates

into more, something more, than I ever

could have, ever would have

ever imagined
