Stay With Me

Let in the dreams, at night in, to warm

my mind, as desolate in ruin, as silent in voices speak

while the water so young, does run

between, the concrete of the avenues

and city streets, amid the dreaming

in my mind, at this very state, when waking eyes

do wait, for moments of beauty

times when peace rests patiently

upon the dawn of morning's early light

i hear nothing, as nothing seems still

a sound from shadows does call

to awake all the bodies, from among

earth, as only dreams could, in a time, such as now

such are there, times, when all would

or could, grow from little ones

infant and alive, so alive they seem

with their eyes, soft and gleaming

all to wonder, where it all, it all began

from the dust at rest, to the breathe on horizon's wait

so much seems calm now, as pleasant as the fresh water

now running through our bodies, in this

quiet city place

i hear children laughing

as if in play time, i was imagining

running forwards, to, and backwards fall

little ones, so young, as waters still

from oceans do spawn, all would be removed

the war, the famine, the anger of it all

if only i could, squeeze my dream from my mind

into this world now i live, not the one

that i have, left behind

diffuse, so the light seems to bend

with forgiveness, our hearts seem to mend

give a time, to this child, so new and strange

do all these colors seek meaning to change

resurrect, from death, a burning life

from all those who are left, from the scorching truths

that sought revenge, from the heavens, at times

all was from thunder, clamor, crashing

bringing anger down, upon those

who wait, amid the waters on earth

and the gates between the dreams

in this, our mind's, final resting place
