Worth

What enlightenment i find

amid these pictures of old

story books and times

when kings and queens did rule

reign supreme, as victory was all our goal

then speaking where, amid these drifts are shone

one crowned to the next, as easily as one crowd

gave all the rest, new faces, distant places

certain men still maintain, as women

in beauty, always must sustain, all wonders

from childhood, now tumbling down

chaos in those eyes, chaos in these times

holy wonder, staring back, unlock my sight

these racing fantasies, of the girl standing

in front of my eyes, still focus, forget

or pretend, not to mention my world

or even whisper my name, it is remembrance

it is these times, hold on, for in a moment

what once was yesterday, tomorrow you find

has now, gone, in a reflection stare

these faces will tell the same, even if their bodies

do not, remain
